<aside> 📣 Our client Remitly, an online remittance service provider who facilitate international money transfers to over 135 countries, was referred to Never Mind The Job Spec via a mutual connection in the fintech industry.


As the European & APAC business was a start-up operating within an already established US business, the initial 6-month project concentrated on securing key hires for the Growth & Marketing, Data Analytics, Product & Design and Business Management teams.


So, they left it to us to take full ownership of the end-to-end talent acquisition and recruitment process, implement our human-centred hiring approach, develop the talent brand and reduce the time-to-hire.

<aside> 🚨 On top of this, Remitly’s ability to scale at pace and meet the growth goals in Europe was critical for hiring talent for these teams.


At the time, the Europe & APAC business was a start-up with less than 10 employees, however, they had grand plans to significantly scale multiple teams.


The main challenge for the business was to progress from ‘startup mode’ to a model that supported rapidly scaling across multiple geographic locations.

<aside> 💡 After our talks with Remitly, it didn’t take long until the penny dropped. We knew that they needed immediate action and support to redefine their hiring process and resolve their Business Management hire in France.

We supported the Head of Legal, UK & Europe with the successful hiring and onboarding of a new Head of Region (who, by the way, scored us high in our candidate experience survey - what a RESULT!).
